PROJECTS TO BE CARRIED OUT |
We want to carry out projects mainly around the city of Yangala within a radius of 100 km. It is a rural area located in the Bushimaie sector, in the central province of Kasai, far from the main urban centers, and whose current population, estimated at 1. 160. 583 inhabitants, lacks basic infrastructure. The villages concerned belong to the green belt, that is, they are fed by different forests and rivers that fertilize and enrich the soil. The population of these villages lives totally on artisanal agriculture, small subsistence household and small cattle breeding. Access to health care – preventive and curative – is difficult due to lack of financial resources. Similarly, access to drinking water also remains a challenge. Other projects are planned on the outskirts of the City Province of Kinshasa – main headquarters of the Litanga Association – where families in precarious situations live. These are mainly populations who have fled the conflict hotspots in neighbouring regions, and families from rural exodus living in slums. However, the scope of the Association extends throughout the national territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and also outside the country in collaboration and partnership with organizations pursuing similar purposes (Statute, art. 2 and 7). |
